Kandi letters is a personal project which pays homage to Kandinsky’s painting Thirty (Trente), Biomorphic abstraction.

Abstract shapes layout in a chess-like module, where the black and white colours create a high contrast artwork and curvy and straight lines interact with each other. My interpretation uses some of the shapes from the painting with the development of my units. I adapted the grid into a block alphabet and filled it with geometrical shapes.
